How to get to the church? - external link show location on google maps  - (And the Church Hall?)
Both the church and the church hall are situated right in the heart of Amsterdam.
Parking is free on Sundays until 12.00. From 12.00 until 24.00 the hourly rate is approx. €5,00.
It can be difficult to find a parking space, so we recommend public transport.

The best way to get to the ERC is by tram.
No less than ten tramlines stop here: 1, 2, 4, 5, 9, 11, 14, 16, 24 & 25.
Get off at tramstop Spui. There are, however two tramstops Spui!
- Tramstop Spui for tramlines 1, 2, 5 and 11 is on a street called Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal (T1),
- Tramstop Spui for tramlines 4, 9, 14, 16, 24 and 25 is on a street called Rokin (T2).
The two tramstops are indicated by T1 and T2 on the detailed streetmap (166Kb).

From tramstop Spui T1
(tramlines 1, 2, 5 and 11):

On the corner of Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal and Spui is a book shop called
American Book Center:
...the corner of Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal and Spui... Walk left around the corner and keep to your left.

After a few yards you will come to a door which gives access to the gateway to the Begijnhof:
  ...the door to the gateway...

From tramstop Spui T2
(tramlines 4, 9, 14, 16, 24 and 25):

On the corner of Rokin and Spui is a shop called hak-key.
  ...hak-key...
...the corner of Rokin and Spui... Turn right around the corner, past New York Pizza and a lot of other shops, and continue until you come to a square with trees.

On the righthand-side of the square, about halfway, you will come to a door which gives access to the gateway to the Begijnhof:
...the (same) door to the gateway...

...the Spuipoort... Walk through this gateway, and then you can see the English Reformed Church on the Begijnhof on your right!

  ...the oasis...
  There she is, the Church!

Door locked?

The door on the Spui should always be open during the daytime, but should you find it locked, there is another gate around the corner.

Go right, to the end of the square, turn left into the Gedempte Begijnsloot, and on your left is a double set of big gates.
...the outer gates... ...the inner gates... Go through these gates into to the Begijnhof, and you can see the church on your left.

The Church Hall
Our Church Hall is situated just outside the Begijnhof, on the same street as tramstop Spui T1, a little towards Central Station.
