Within these walls let no-one be a stranger

Welcome to the English Reformed Church in Amsterdam.

We normaly meet for Sunday worship in English at 10.30 am every week. This is a tradition we have shared for over 400 years. We always hope to make visitors feel very welcome, if it is your first time with us, or the first time in a long time we pray that your time with us will be blessed.

Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 concern, the service is for the moment closed to the public, but you’ll be able to follow the service via our live-stream from 10.30 every Sunday. Please click live-streamingto view it in your browser.

We invite you to watch the pre-recorded services we’ve held online so far:

Our service follows the traditional structure of the Church of Scotland.

Young people are important to our community. We have a comprehensive youth ministry programme with a crèche for the smallest children along with Sunday School (4-11) and Junior Church for the older children (11-16). You can find more information about this by clicking on ‘Youth Ministries’ in the side menu.

The last Sunday of the month is our family service. Children and young people remain in church for the whole service and we slightly alter the content and structure of the service to be appropriate for all ages.

On the first Sunday of the month we celebrate the Lord’s Supper. We invite all who love the Lord Jesus to share in communion with us. On this Sunday there is also the opportunity to contribute to our mission collection for Mulanje Mission Hospital in Malawi.

Music is also a vital element in our services.  You can find more information & examples of previous performances on our Music and Worship page.

Orders of Service and Sermons

A few days before each Service you can download the liturgy sheet and after each Service you can download the manuscript of the sermon or hear the sermon.

Orders of Service, sermons as manuscript and in audio from the latest service and from previous services can be found in our Archives.
